The Napa Valley Unity League and WTN Services is pleased to announce the Napa Valley
Academy Awards™ Celebration Party at Robert Mondavi Winery again this year on Sunday,
March 7, 2010. The event will benefit the Care Network at the Queen of the Valley Hospital’s
Cancer & AIDS Outreach Programs. This year will mark the 22nd year for this event and is also the 82ndCelebration of the Academy Awards. Robert Mondavi Winery is hosting as our “Presenting” sponsor for the second year in a row.
The 2010 event proves to be the most exciting in years will all proceeds going to the Care
Network at the Queen of the Valley.
What began as a small, private Oscar Night hosted by Floyd McGregor, Pierce Carson and others twenty two years ago is now a night of great food, excellent Napa Valley Wines, and plenty of Awards Night glamour. The party became a Napa Valley tradition as an HIV/AIDS/Cancer fundraiser
for the Care Network -a reaction to the toll HIV was taking on the local community.
Today, it is the single largest event dedicated to raising money and awareness for HIV/AIDS/Cancer services through the Queen of the Valley Hospital’s Care Network. Through the generosity of individual
underwriters, ticket buyers, volunteers, and corporate donors, the vital work of the Care Network
at the Queen of the Valley is providing critical services to those living with HIV/AIDS and Cancer.
Until the pandemic has passed, we are deeply committed to fundraising by presenting a quality
and responsible event for this cause.
Each year our guests are treated to gourmet food from great Chefs that Pierce Carson still personally invites, wines from Napa’s greatest vintners, while enjoying the excitement of the annual Academy Awards™ broadcast. The evening concludes with a colossal dance party hosted by guest DJ Doc Martin.
This annual Napa Valley fundraising event is not sponsored or affiliated with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
